TOMOE Valve Limited, a global leader in the design and manufacture of butterfly valves and process control systems, has expanded its production facility at Newport, South Wales to incorporate a Valve Automation Centre offering a 24 hour turnaround of stock item valves and actuators which can be customised to exact specifications.
TOMOE is able to offer a full range of Double Acting and Spring Return pneumatic actuators, covering DN40-DN600 sizes available in rubber lined, Teflon lined and double offset valve options. To maximise the fitting selection requirements, an extensive range of mounting kit options are available and, to support the actuator package options, a range of Switch Units, Valve Positioners and Solenoid valves are also available from stock.
This wide range of options allows TOMOE to deliver the correct valve solution to suit exact customer and application requirements with no concession to ‘one standard suits all’ mentality. Willie Duncan, Managing Director, explains:

Our capability includes a flow test facility that provides accurate CV tables and various flow characteristics for all trim designs. Our valve sizing and noise prediction formulas are used for accurate prediction of valve size requirements and generated noise levels for all flow conditions.”
TOMOE has a long history of maintaining a 95-98% on time delivery performance for both manual and actuated valves and the new Valve Automation Centre now enables the company to focus on the 24 hour turnaround of stock valves and actuator combinations.
In addition, TOMOE has also made a number of Triple Offset Valves available on an ex stock basis. The Triple Offset Valve division has the capability to design and assemble bespoke and standard actuator control packages across the product and size range up to DN1200.
